Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 4, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Nolu LLC ("Nolu," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on trynolu.com and our related services (the "Services"), what those technologies do, and the choices available to you. It supplements, and should be read alongside, our Privacy Policy.
You can change your choices at any time by selecting "Cookie preferences" or "Your Privacy Choices" in the footer of any page.
2. The categories of cookies we use
We group cookies into four categories. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off because the Services will not work without them. You control the other three.
Strictly necessary
Required to operate the Services — routing you between pages, balancing traffic across our servers, protecting against fraudulent and automated activity, and remembering the cookie choices you have made so we do not ask you again on every page.
Functionality
Remember choices you make so the Services can be tailored to you — for example the treatment category you were last viewing. Switching these off will not stop you using the Services, but some conveniences will be lost.
Performance and analytics
Help us understand how visitors find and use the Services — which pages are viewed, how long people stay, which links are clicked, and where people encounter errors. We use this to diagnose problems and improve the Services. We use third-party analytics providers, including Google Analytics and PostHog, for this purpose.
Marketing
Used to measure the performance of our advertising and to show you relevant advertising on other websites and services. These technologies record that you arrived from a particular advertisement and whether you went on to begin an intake form. This category includes technologies provided by Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google. Turning this category off also stops us passing advertising click identifiers to our intake application.
4. Advertising measurement and data sharing
When you arrive at the Services from an advertisement, the link you follow may contain identifiers that tell us which advertisement, campaign, and platform sent you. With your marketing cookie choice enabled, we store those identifiers and pass them to our intake application when you begin a consultation, and we share them with the advertising platform that served the advertisement so it can measure whether its advertising worked.
Under some state privacy laws, this kind of sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising is treated as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, even though no money changes hands. You can opt out at any time using the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of any page, or by switching off the marketing category in our cookie preferences.
5. Your choices and how to exercise them
Our cookie preferences tool
Select "Cookie preferences" or "Your Privacy Choices" in the footer of any page to review and change your choices at any time. Turning a category off takes effect immediately and removes the associated cookies from your browser. Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which we will ask again.
Opt-out preference signals
We recognise and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information, and we switch off analytics and marketing cookies without you needing to do anything. When we detect the signal, we confirm on the page that it has been honored.
Browser and device controls
Most browsers let you see which cookies you have, delete them individually, block third-party cookies, block all cookies, or delete all cookies when you close your browser. These controls sit outside our Services, so using them may affect other websites as well as ours, and blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the Services working.
Platform-level advertising controls
- Meta: adjust your advertising preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
- Google: use Google's Ads Settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from using your information.
- Industry tools: the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (optout.networkadvertising.org) offer opt-outs covering many advertising companies at once.
Opting out of targeted advertising does not mean you will stop seeing advertising. It means the advertising you see will not be tailored to you based on your activity over time and across other websites and services.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. There is no common industry standard for how websites should respond to it, and we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal, as described above.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in applicable law. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to the categories of cookies we use, we will ask for your choices again.
8. Contact us
